Der Plan



This is the blog of our travels with s/y Barracuda.

The trip started in August 2010 from Harlingen in the Netherlands as a young man's adventure by Jan-Vincent Nickl and Laszlo Schöffer, both born of the year '89 (also the owners of 'Barracuda').

After crossing the Atlantic Ocean and cruising the Eastern Caribbean islands for a while, Jan left the boat and Oliver Clasper, a young artist and photographer (born of '88) from London joined in. We plan for this year to cross the South Pacific.

The boat is a dutch-built sloop,ten metres long, year of construction 1975. She's a Cumulant 3 to be more precise, designed by 'Van-der-Vlis'.

Update St. Martin

Dear followers, we're still alive!
Although we've been struggling a little bit in the last weeks; Without work and living on a good friend's boat without any facilities. Even the super rich seem to keep their money together nowadays...
But for the last few days we're working again, doing small jobs for people on the boat-yards. So hopefully work keeps on coming now and we'll be able to save some money for our trip top to the Pacific!

    Grüße zurück nach Berg! Hier ist's im Moment auch ziemlich Kühl. Geht nachts bis ca. 23 Grad runter, brrrr!

    Mit den Jobs läuft's gerade gar nicht so schlecht, hoffen wir mal, dass das so bleibt. Skate-Fotos, stimmt! Wir arbeiten dran!

    Haben nachts auch bis zu 23 Grad. Nur ist da so ein kleiner, waagerechter Strich davor. Das ist brrrrr!
